for example, Balenciaga, do you mean Cristóbal Balenciaga, died in 1972, or do you mean the brand? then you mean head of design: Nicolas Ghesquière.
my favorites are the Antwerp 6 (especially Ann Demeulemeester, Dries van Noten) Martin Margiela, Rei Kawakubo, Nicolas Ghesquière, Rick Owens, Hussein Chalayan, Azzedine Alaia. Nicholas Kirkwood/Pierre Hardy (Shoe Designers) etc.
i have a thing for japanese fashion designers i think they are innovative and simplistic which i adore, i absolutely hate italian fashion design. i think it looks hideous, Miuccia Prada (Prada and Miu Miu) is the only designer i like from italy.
